Tommy grew up on a farm in Elkhart, Kansas. Following graduation, he attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he obtained a BS in Business Administration and a minor in Accounting. After graduating from college he moved to Arkansas City, Kansas where he furthered his banking career and met his wife of almost 30 yrs, Lana. They have 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Tommy grew up in a Lutheran Church but with several different moves, has been a part of non-denominational, Baptist, and Christian churches. He and his wife have always been called to serve in various ministries such as music and youth. In 2019 they moved to Duncan with in intent of visiting several churches. Tanglewood was their first stop and during that visit, they felt such unity, love, and good teaching, that they knew they had found their new church home. Tommy serves as a sound technician and became an Elder in 2023.
