Lana Sleeper

Lana has been surrounded by music all of her life with her mother teaching dance and her father versed in musical instruments. Lana grew up in WaKeeney, Kansas where she grew up in the Presbyterian Church. Billy Graham, through a television revival, led her to the Lord when she was in fifth grade. After graduating high school and some time at Fort Hays State in Kansas, Lana started a dance studio in Wellington, Ks, then began teaching at Cowley College in Arkansas City, KS where she taught competitive dance and cheer, directed the Musical plays, and also taught in a Christian school.
While teaching at the college, she met her husband Tommy and they married in 1994. Lana followed Tommy to Florida and Oklahoma as his jobs changed, always finding jobs that usually involved dancing and singing, but also had other great opportunities like working for the Choctaw Nation in marketing and tourism. Through the years God blessed her by learning from several churches including Presbyterian, Pentecostal, Baptist, First Christian, and Non-Denominational.
Tommy’s job brought them to Duncan in 2019 where they fell in love with Tanglewood Bible Fellowship. Lana began leading worship for the church during 2021. Lana is involved with Duncan Little Theater, PEO, and Philomathic Club. Tommy and Lana have 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. One of Lana’s favorite scriptures is Colossians 3:17. “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord.”
