Believe It: Grace Really Is Amazing
To the one who does not work, but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his/her faith is reckoned as +R!  Romans 4:5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.  1 Peter 1:3-9

Bonnie May AldridgeOct. 21, 1921 — June 15, 2008Bonnie May Aldridge, 86, of Duncan, died Sunday, June 15, 2008, in Duncan.Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, in Tanglewood Bible Fellowship with Dr. Brad McCoy officiating. Interment will be in Duncan Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Bonnie May was born Oct. 21, 1921, near Pinckneyville, Ill., to John and Lula Pedigo. According to her journal, she worked milking and caring for her cows, Bossy, Bessie and Jersey, on their dairy farm during the Depression. When World War II started, she and a friend moved to St. Louis, Mo., and worked in a defense plant, soldering small pieces for submarines. In 1942, at the age of 21, she joined the Marine Corps and was sent to Camp Lejeune, N.C.She later met and married a fellow Marine, Billy Joe Aldridge, who had grown up near Alma, on Wild Horse Creek. After the war ended, they entered school and graduated from Oklahoma A and M (now Oklahoma State University). They lived and worked mostly in Alamogordo, N.M., teaching and coaching golf. In 1976, Bonnie lost her husband due to an accident. She continued teaching two more years, then retired and moved to Duncan. She was an avid golfer and fierce competitor. If she were a chicken, the pecking order would start with her and she would be the most popular one in the flock. She was a member of Tanglewood Bible Fellowship.Survivors include a son, Kent Aldridge, who currently works for ComTech in Iraq; a grandson, Billy Aldridge of Missoula, Mont.; and her beloved pet, Sophie, of the home. She was also preceded in death by her parents.Bearers will be Dale Corbin, Homer Cox, Ron Miller, Kelly Lewis, Mike Palovik and David Demerson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tanglewood Bible Fellowship Mission Fund, P.O. Box 562, Duncan, OK 73534.
